Myra Weisgold, N.S.S.

"I have chosen to work in the traditional, figurative style of sculpture for I feel it is the best vehicle in which to express the natural beauty of the human body. In order to use this approach to my art, I have had to spend numerous years in the intensive study of human anatomy. My favorite subjects are children because of the roundness of their forms and subtle humor of their gestures and positions.
Along with intrinsic structural authenticity, I hope to bring to my sculptures the qualities of sensitivity, dignity, warmth, flowing design, and humanity." - Myra Weisgold
