Skillfully carved by a Shona artist from Zimbabwe (which means “house of stone”), this character rich frog emerged from spring stone in a combination of natural textured and polished finish. The artists work together with their stone and it is believed that ‘nothing which exists naturally is inanimate’- it has a spirit and life of its own. These artists facilitate the fine art that results from their intuitive creativity — that is what the stone is expressing to them.
