This urn was originally commissioned as a commemoration by the governors of Westonbirt School, Gloucestershire. The original Westonbirt Urn was manufactured by Pulham from a design attributed to the architect Lewis Vulliamy (1791–1871).
This scale replica of the original Westonbirt Urn is typical of Vulliamy’s style, featuring spiralled gadrooning and egg-and-dart rim.
