Gorgeous is just the right word for this urn. How do I love it? Let us count the ways...there is so much movement in this design. When plant material is added to the ample space inside, the magic happens.
This urn was originally commissioned as a commemoration by the governors of Westonbirt School, Gloucestershire. The original Westonbirt Urn was manufactured by Pulham from a design attributed to the architect Lewis Vulliamy (1791 – 1871).
This scale replica of the original Westonbirt Urn is typical of Vulliamy’s style, featuring spiralled gadrooning and egg-and-dart rim.
