This Terracotta from the Itallian Village of Impruneta is made strictly by hand, Turn on the wood kiln, identical to those used in Roman times, and the artisans quite often estimate the temperature according to the white color of the hot vases. High firing and a high iron content in the clay make these frost resistant! Low round bowls are just perfect for placement on walls and piers. Because each bowl is handmade & molded, no two are exactly alike and are organic in their beautiful form. Imported from Impruneta.
