This wall piece full of personality and appeal was produced by well known artist Winston Cajuste some years ago.
Haitian metal art is traditionally created from sections of oil barrels. After gathering and transporting oil drums to their village, artists flatten the sides of the barrels and then masterfully work them with chisels and hammers to form intricate designs. Because they are individually created, no two pieces are exactly alike.
Fabulous outdoors and weather hardy and just as wonderful for inside. Acrylic seal resists oxidizing outside and can be easily reapplied year after year. Proceeds benefit indigenous culture.
