Originally purchased by Louis Madeira, Associate Curator of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, for his personal collection where this enduring outdoor settee made its home on the grounds of the Gladwyne Estate. Aluminum is an optimal choice for outdoor furniture given its light weight, non-oxidizing nature. A fantastic piece with historical significance that can be repainted and freshened easily and beautifully. Circa 1950’s.
