The painting of Haitian art adds yet another fabulous dimension to these beautiful pieces. Such a bright combination of flowers and a very interested hummingbird dancing among the purple blooms.
Haitian metal art is traditionally created from sections of oil barrels. After gathering and transporting oil drums to their village, artists flatten the sides of the barrels and then masterfully work them with chisels and hammers to form intricate designs. Because they are individually created, no two pieces are exactly alike.
Fabulous outdoors and weather hardy and just as wonderful for inside. Acrylic seal resists oxidizing outside and can be easily reapplied year after year. Proceeds benefit indigenous culture.
